Become a Volunteer Today
QCA offers several volunteer positions that accommodate different interests and schedules. Volunteering is an excellent way to fulfill membership requirements, build familiarity with the local art scene, and develop skills in customer service, arts administration, and gallery operations. Volunteers become ambassadors for the creative community, fostering connections between artists and the public while helping maintain a vibrant cultural hub.
Our primary need is gallery hosts! Volunteering at the gallery strengthens our art community by connecting people, supporting artists, and keeping the space welcoming and accessible. Volunteers play key roles that ensure visitors have a positive experience and that exhibitions run smoothly.
Typical duties include:
Monitoring the gallery floor to protect artwork and maintain a calm, respectful environment.
Greeting visitors, providing information about the exhibition, and answering basic questions about the space and programming.
Assisting visitors with purchases—this may involve handling sales for resident artists or items from the current exhibit, processing payments, and packaging artwork appropriately.
Offering directional help and sharing printed or verbal materials about upcoming events, memberships, and artist talks.
