I ask you God to create with me,
And create through me.
Please take care of the quality,
And I’ll take care of the quantity.
In colors bright I see Your hand.
A masterpiece from beginning to end.
Lines that wander, curves that bend
Where every path leads to faithful end.
Through every shade of joy and pain.
Your covenant stands, unchanged, and framed.
Your promises remain complete.
Where patterns cross and pieces meet.
The maze of life may twist and turn,
With lessons yet for me to learn.
Seasons shift and moments pass,
And dreams shatter like painted glass.
You gather the fragments, then give me new life,
And in my new purpose your Spirit delights.
Your mercy shines in every hue,
Your grace paints all things fresh and new.
No stroke is wasted, not one misplaced,
Each one a mark of love and grace.
I will trust the original Artist's sight,
Beyond the shadows of the night,
For every promise You have spoken
I stand secure, unshaken, unbroken.
For You are faithful, Lord, always—
The Weaver of my nights and days.
And when at last the whole I see,
The masterpiece You've made of me.
Creating beauty in every part,
You know each color, line, and scar.
